Larry the Adventure Gek was cruising through space on his Distant World Tour when he received a distress signal from a remote outpost. The message was frantic and disjointed, but Larry could make out the words "attack" and "invasion."
Without hesitation, Larry plotted a course to the outpost, his curiosity piqued by the urgency of the message. As he approached the planet, he could see that the base was in shambles. The buildings were ripped apart and there were signs of intense fighting all around.
Larry landed the ship and cautiously made his way towards the base, scanning the area for any signs of life. He soon realized that the entire population was missing. It was as if they had vanished into thin air.
As he explored the ruins, Larry couldn't shake the feeling that something inhuman was responsible for the destruction. The evidence suggested that the colonists had put up a fierce fight, but they had ultimately been overwhelmed.
As Larry continued his investigation, he heard faint sounds coming from deeper within the base. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up as he cautiously made his way towards the source of the noise.
As he turned a corner, Larry was confronted by a terrifying sight. A group of humanoid creatures stood before him, their twisted and gnarled forms suggesting that they were once human but had been horribly mutated.
The creatures hissed and bared their sharp teeth, their eyes glowing with an unnatural intensity. Larry's instincts told him to run, but he stood his ground, determined to find out what had happened to the colonists.
With a deft flick of his wrist, Larry drew his trusty laser gun and fired a shot at the lead creature. The blast struck it squarely in the chest, but the creature merely laughed and charged towards him.
Larry took a deep breath and prepared for battle. He had faced many dangers on his Distant World Tour, but nothing quite like this. As he raised his laser gun, he knew that he was in for the fight of his life.

In the No Man's Sky universe I enjoy exploring, building, taming and modifying wild creatures. In real life I'm a space artist and graphic designer. I'm also a big fan of sci-fi and all that is space related, which often shows in my build style.
This build is Hadley's Hope, a mining and terraforming outpost established by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, housing 158 people. "It's what we call a shake and bake colony".
