Larry the Gek had always been fascinated by the mysteries of the universe. He had spent his entire life exploring distant worlds and encountering new and exotic creatures. So, when he heard rumors of a mysterious planet that had never been visited before, he knew that he had to go and explore it.
As he landed on the planet's surface, Larry could feel the excitement building within him. The planet was unlike anything he had ever seen before. It was covered in dense forests, towering mountains, and vast deserts. He knew that there was no telling what kind of secrets this world held.
As Larry explored the planet, he stumbled upon a strange, abandoned city. The city was massive, with towering buildings and sprawling streets. But there was something strange about it. It was as if the city had been abandoned for thousands of years.
As he wandered through the empty streets, Larry stumbled across a strange artifact lying in the rubble of an old building. It was a piece of an ancient circuit board, unlike anything he had ever seen before. The board was covered in strange symbols and markings, and he could tell that it was of great importance.
Excited by his discovery, Larry spent hours examining the circuit board, trying to decipher its secrets. Eventually, he realized that it was part of an ancient machine, created by a race of giants that had long since disappeared.
Determined to uncover the secrets of this ancient race, Larry set out on a new mission. He traveled to other planets, searching for more pieces of the circuit board. Each new discovery brought him closer to unlocking the secrets of the ancient giants.
Years passed, and Larry grew older, but he never lost his passion for exploring the universe. Eventually, he managed to collect all the missing pieces of the ancient circuit board. With the pieces in hand, he assembled the machine and activated it.
As the machine whirred to life, Larry felt a sense of awe wash over him. He had uncovered the secrets of a long-forgotten civilization, and he knew that his discovery would change the course of history.
From that day forward, Larry continued to explore the universe, uncovering new mysteries and uncovering new secrets. But he never forgot the thrill of his first discovery, and the sense of wonder that came with it. He knew that he had been changed forever by his encounter with the ancient giants, and he would never be the same again.

I have been an active NMS player and builder since 2018, utilizing Blender as my main tool for base building. I also have a Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@PeterLaan) devoted to base builds and quirky NMS gameplay.
I consider myself a bit of a pioneer in pushing the NMS game engine to it’s limits, being I think, the first builder to have a functioning mini-teleporter system from a planet, to both the Space Station and the Atlas Station. I have also successfully implemented what I think, is the longest mini-teleport system at 2.5M unit distance (planet-to-planet across a 6 planet system!)
I also enjoy modding the game, having completely overhauled ship flight systems, jetpack movement, & build capabilities to enhance the game play possibilities. I have also developed a complete Pet creation program for the game, as well as having designed a custom Blender plugin that delivers a unique toolset to help Blender builders manipulate NMS objects to build bases within the game.
My favourite types of builds are bridges, futuristic homes and utilizing spaces within Archive stations. I enjoy visiting other NMS builders, to see the creativity out there and sharing ideas with others.
