What drew you to play No Man's Sky initially?
Was looking for a good sandbox type game and had heard of NMS, but once available on xbox gamepass after viewing the trailer I was hooked.
Now that you're an experienced NMS player, what do you think of the game?
Well impressed by the progression of the game through updates (Origins was the first update I had experienced = mind blown), enjoyed the basic gameplay & mechanics, sandbox infinite style.
How did you become interested in base building?
After almost 1000hrs of vanilla gameplay I decided / had the requirement to learn the basic reverse wire glitch. Few hundred hours later I was finally inspired to build something cool and possibly a bit different.
What is it about building bases that you enjoy most?
I do enjoy improvising and working things out, seeing an idea work out.
How would you describe your design aesthetic?
Industrial; Trying to replicate machinery
Where do you find your design inspirations?
Design inspirations come from the industrial & heavy earthmoving equipment I have inspected throughout my career.
Do you usually have a clear picture of what you're going to build before you start?
Main components and general layout have been thought out, details were followed.
How do you choose locations for your builds?
Locations of buried ruins chosen to go with the theme of earth-moving equipment built to uncover.
Tell us a little about your thought process when you begin a build.
General ideas followed by working on several fronts at once, I need to plan more.
What techniques and tools do you use?
General glitch building (reverse wire, tether wire, scaling & adjacency) free placement & line of sight.
What do you find most challenging about building in NMS?
Time consuming, snap points,
